Although the third party transaction services firm was formed in 1994, Moran & Company's origins date back to 1971. Pre tax-reform, Moran & Company's senior officers raised private equity for the joint venture development of 14,000 apartments, approximately 6,000 of which are still owned by related entities. Moran's senior officers have an affiliated apartment development firm in Chicago (M&R Development) that builds a luxury apartment property almost every year, and they are partial owners of the largest apartment property management firm in suburban Chicago (RMK Management).

In order to service our clientele in most of the large investment markets, we opened eight transaction services offices serving the Pacific Northwest (Seattle), California (Irvine), Southwest (Dallas and Houston), Mountain States (Denver and Phoenix), Midwest (Chicago) and East Coast (Washington, DC) regions. Since 1994, Moran & Company has closed nearly $16.9 billion in sales across the country.
