Thomas P. Moran

Thomas Moran Jr. is a Director who primarily covers the Southern California market, with additional experience in the Pacific Northwest. He has been involved in apartment transactions totaling $2.3 billion since joining Moran & Company in 1999.

Prior to joining Moran & Co, Tom spent 6 years in property management gathering onsite experience with properties from 200 to 800 units in size, value-add properties, lease-up properties, and condo conversions. He also gained experience in taking over and re-staffing properties. Tom worked in Orange County, San Diego, and Las Vegas during his 6 years in property management.

Tom has broad experience in a variety of property types (garden, midrise, and high-rise) and market conditions. He works closely with owners and their management teams to position properties for sale. He also helps owners to develop marketing strategies that maximize value, and to design transaction structures that bridge gaps between buyers and sellers. He is familiar with market rate and tax exempt bond finance executions, and has worked on a wide variety of transactions types including development deals, mixed-use deals, condo conversions and reversions, and ground lease deals. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California.
