Tell us a bit about yourself.
I have been an apartment specialist marketing, financing, raising equity, recapitalizing and restructuring partnerships for 20 of my 28 years in the real estate field.
Before joining Moran & Company, I was Director of Tax-Exempt Bond Credit Enhancement at Freddie Mac, financed over 1,000 Chicago Housing Authority controlled units as an FHA Mortgagee while also selling and financing institutional apartments valued at over $5.0 billion.
What’s your perspective on the Multifamily Industry?
I have a passion for the apartment industry because I firmly believe that apartments are the single best risk-adjusted investment vehicle available and I know the apartment industry is vital to the health and well-being of our communities. Realizing the need for the full spectrum of housing options, I focus on both affordable housing and luxury rental housing.
What else are you working on?
I am actively involved in a not-for-profit group called Over The Rainbow as Vice Chairman. Over the Rainbow is an incredible charity that develops barrier free apartment communities for the mobility impaired and I am incredibly proud of the work that we accomplish.
